2015-16 was a year of excelling for all 3 age levels of Illinois Impact Fastpitch Softball and its 45 players, a program high.
The year was highlighted by dual 5th place finishes in National tournaments. The 18u team placed 5th in the A-level world series in Chattanooga, TN. In the 16u Nationals, the 16u team clawed its way out of the loser's bracket in Indianapolis with 4 wins on a single day to make it to the final day, where it earned a 5th place finish.
The 18u team excelled all year. In addition to the 5th place in nationals, they also earned 1st place (8-0 record) at the prestigious Michigan Summer Slam in Byron Center, Michigan and had a 5-0 record at the Midland Magic College Showcase.
The 16u team won the Border Wars - Battle of the Flags, never surrendering a flag and also took 3rd in the Elgin Heat Classic, despite not losing a game in the rain-shortened tournament.
The 14u team earned 2 1st place finishes at the Homestead and Roselle Tournaments and also captured a 3rd place finish in the Fall Brawl.
