August 2010 - Illinois Impact Forms its First Team!!

5th Place in State in First Year!

In 2010-11, out of a love for the sport of Fastpitch Softball and a desire to offer a top-quality college exposure program to Lake County, Kent Szarabajka formed Illinois Impact with its very first 16u Team, the first building block for a successful program that has since grown to 5 teams.

Illinois Impact Fastpitch's first team (coached by Kent Szarabajka, assisted by Frank Morelli) laid the foundation for the program's future success growth and included the following founding players:
