WELCOME EDDIE ACOSTA , NEW 15U Head Coach !!

Eddie most recently served as Head Coach at Judson University, as well an assistant coach for Northern Illinois. With NIU, Acosta oversaw infield, outfield, hitting routines, game day management, and scouting reports. He worked directly with the academic coordinator and compliance liaison in all recruiting efforts and scholarship budgets. Acosta organized team offensive philosophy & mechanics, film breakdown, and gameday charting. He also assisted in supervising camps, showcases, travel arrangements, and team schedules.

Before his stint at NIU, Acosta was a head coach for six seasons with 29ers Baseball and the Midwest Reds of Baseball  scout team. Was three time selected All-American Under Armour Baseball Factory coach and is part of the MLB Pipeline and Buck Oneil. Has lead in the past D1 Prime Fastpitch based in Barrington, Illinois. In the last two years, Acosta has scouted and coached 75 players who received D-1 baseball and softball scholarships to major power 5 conferences and mid-major universities. Acosta has worked with Top athletes where he organized a mix of local and regional clubs to showcase talent across the Midwest and southern united states.

Acosta played professionally from 1991-1998 with Los Angeles Dodgers, Milwaukee Brewers and Montreal Expos organization. Acosta spent seasons in the Brewers system, Montreal Expos organization as he was teammates with MLB great Vladimir Guerrero, Sr. In 1996, Acosta teammates was also great teammate with former White Sox player Orlando Cabrera and former Cubs Michael Barrett, Jose Fernandez, and Jose Macias. In 1998, Acosta played his final year in professional ball From 1998-2000, Acosta returned to the Brewers organization as an area scout.

Impact 18u cheers on 14u in NSA State Championship , Prior to Winning the 18u NSA Championship

After recent state and national tournaments, Illinois Impact 18u-KS finished the season ranked NUMBER 1 in the country and in the State of Illinois in latest National Softball Association (NSA) rankings.  Illinois Impact 14u finished the NSA season at NUMBER 2 (14u) in the state and Number 19 (out of 395 teams) nationally.  The 14u team has placed in the top 3 of six tournaments and has a record of 51-24-1 since the fall .  The  NSA National Champion 18u-KS team finished 31-15-1 For the year and 21-11 in the summer.
