Coach Brandy has been a coach for Illinois Impact 18u for 8 years. Brandy is a 2019 graduate of the University of Dubuque where she played 4 years with the UD softball program.  She was a starter and captain of the team, seeing most time at both 3rd base and Shortstop over her 4 years while also filling in as a starting catcher as well as pitching. After her junior season, she was named Defensive MVP as well as given the Leadership Award. She was also the secretary of their Student Athletic Advisory Committee. She double majored in Physical Education and Health Education with endorsements in Special Education, ESL and Coaching. She was also a 4 year Varsity player from 2011-2015 at Grayslake Central High School where she helped propel her team to the sectional finals. She was a consistent 3 year starter. She received Fox Valley All Conference and Lake County All Area Team. Before joining Impact, she played premier fast pitch softball for 8 years while playing for a total of 14 years which has helped her overall knowledge of the game of softball. 

The Illinois Impact 16u-BH team includes  Juniors and Sophomores from 9 High Schools in Lake and Cook Counties.  Illinois Impact teams are reconstituted each year based on competitive tryouts held each August.  This year's team has 9 new players and 2 returning players from last year's 14u teams.
